
Dr. Farzad Masoud Kabir, the Scientific Secretary, cardiologist and interventional electrophysiologist at Tehran Heart Center, highlighted the importance of updating medical knowledge during the opening ceremony of the Heart Failure Symposium. He thanked Arena Hayat Danesh for sponsoring the event and introduced the symposium with a case-based approach, focusing on the latest guidelines and studies related to treating heart failure patients.
Dr. Kabir also expressed gratitude for the presence of prominent professors from Tehran and Mashhad, including panel members Dr. Taghavi (Full Professor of Heart Failure and Transplantation, Shahid Rajaei Cardiovascular Medical Center), Dr. Haleh Ashraf (Associate Professor of Heart Failure and Transplantation, Tehran Heart Center), Dr. Mohebati (Associate Professor of Interventional Cardiology, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences), and Dr. Arghiani (Internal Medicine Specialist and Nephrology Subspecialist). He added: “This symposium goes beyond theoretical presentations, addressing practical challenges and providing treatment solutions based on real-life case experiences.”
He emphasized that key topics will include antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy selection, dyslipidemia management, and treatment strategies in heart failure patients. Additionally, to assess participants’ knowledge and experience, 11 case-based questions were designed, with prizes awarded for correct responses.
At the conclusion, Dr. Kabir expressed his pleasure at the participation of professors and specialists and invited them to actively engage in discussions and exchange ideas, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and skills in heart failure. This symposium was held to provide the latest scientific and practical findings in heart failure treatment and to update the expertise of cardiology specialists.
