On the occasion of World Heart Day, the scientific and innovative event “Heart 8” was held in the holy city of Mashhad, focusing on synergy among cardiology specialists and exploring the achievements of artificial intelligence in healthcare. This initiative, led by Dr. Fatemeh-Sadat Mirali in collaboration with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, aimed to create a platform for collaborative thinking, interaction, and scientific solidarity among cardiovascular groups in eastern Iran.
During the introduction, prominent cardiology professors including Dr. Shabestari, Dr. Arash Gholoubi, Dr. Alireza Heydari Bakavoli, Dr. Mohammad Abbasi Tashnizi, and Dr. Behzad Alizadeh shared their perspectives on the necessity of synergy and collaboration among specialized cardiology teams. They emphasized the importance of integrating science and technology, designing intelligent diagnostic software in the country, and strengthening connections between academic groups and healthcare centers.
The event featured a specialized panel on “Updates on New Cardiovascular Treatments 2025,” with participation from esteemed professors Dr. Farzad Masoud Kabir, Dr. Ali Eshraghi, Dr. Mohsen Mohebati, and Dr. Mohammad Vojdanparast.
Dr. Mirali, founder of Heart 8, with the support of Professor Shabestari, dedicated this scientific initiative to Imam Reza (peace be upon him) and described it as a movement aimed at fostering unity and solidarity among the broader cardiology community. She added: “Heart 8 is a symbol of collaboration among knowledge, faith, and technology. We hope this initiative will lead to the creation of a strong network of cardiology specialists and researchers across the country.”
The Heart 8 event focused on innovation in cardiac treatments, artificial intelligence technologies in disease diagnosis, and expanding scientific interaction between university departments and healthcare centers. It is recognized as one of the enduring efforts in promoting synergy between science and cardiovascular health technology in Iran.
